I accidentally left-swiped someone, can I get them back?
No, you are only allowed to swipe once!
Can I message someone I haven't matched with?
No, only users who have indicated a mutual interest in one another are allowed to chat.
How to know if I am liked?
You will not know who liked you but they will be given priority to be recommended to you when you "play".
How to search for a certain criteria such as distance, gender, etc?
Please tap the filter funnel icon to set preference about age, distance, gender and others at the top-right corner when you "play".
Do likes are deleted after 24 hours?
No, Hift doesn't delete "my likes" after 24 hours on your own device but we only show your like list for one day. For the person you liked, the system will give priority to recommend him or her to you.
How to delete a conversation?
Please tap profile photo in messages, then tap warning icon at the top right corner to select "Unmatch" to delete the conversation with the profile you matched with. Notice: This unmatch would be deleted permanently.
I don't have any matches.
There are many ways to increase your matches. First make sure you have created a profile. Then our exclusive technology will compare your profile responses with those of other members to find the profiles that best match you. Second, the criteria in your profile may be too specific. Please broaden your match criteria by tapping the filter funnel icon to set preference about age, distance, gender and others at the top-right corner. Then you need to allow time for people to like you back! You should try updating your profile or share luxury moments. Keep Hifting!
Hift is stuck on "Searching".
Make sure the GPS (or "location services") on your device is enabled. You can also try logging out and logging back in, or broadening your match criteria such as age and distance by tapping the filter funnel icon. Or it seems that you have changed your time, please adjust your phone to local time. If you're using an Android device, go to the phone settings, find Location, hit Mode, and select High accuracy.
I lost my matches!
Try logging out and logging back in, as long as you haven't accidentally deleted your account you should be fine ! If only one or two of your matches disappeared, they either blocked you or deleted their account.
How to unmatch someone?
Please go to his/her profile and tap the warning icon, then choose "unmatch".
Notice: unmatching is a permanent action.
How to report a user?
Please go to his/her profile and tap the warning icon, then choose "report" to submit some detailed reason to Hift support team. We will appreciate what you do to make Hift better.
How to upload photos?
Please tap "edit" on your profile to choose additional five photos from gallery or take a photo to upload.
How to change my location?
It is not allowed to change the location by yourself. Our app locates your position by GPS so that you'd better make sure that the GPS (or "location services") on your device is enabled. IOS users: Go to the iOS settings, select 'General', then tap 'Background App Refresh '. Make sure 'Background App Refresh ' is enabled and it is enabled for Hift.
How to delete my account?
Make sure you have the latest version of the Hift. Go to app settings and select 'help', then tap 'delete account'. This will delete your matches, messages, etc. Hope you'll be back soon! Note: Deleting the app does not delete your account.
